معرض "من نظرة أولى" هو نتاج برنامج تعليمي فريد من نوعه لتلاميذ المدارس الثانوية من اختصاصات مختلفة ومن أربع مدارس محلية. كجزء من المنهج الدراسي لتلك الاختصاصات، ناقش التلاميذ معنى مصطلح "الاستدامة"، ودرسوا العلاقة بين المنظومة البشرية ومنظومة البيئية، وانطلقوا، بمساعدة الكاميرا، للبحث في قضايا الاستدامة التي تمثل بيئة سكنهم وأسلوب حياتهم. الصور الفوتوغرافية المشاركة في المعرض مفاجئة ومثيرة للاهتمام، وتستعرض مجموعة من التفسيرات حول تصوّرات الاستدامة المحلية، من خلال الحوار بين البيئة الطبيعية والنسيج الحضري. تتيح مجموعة الصور هذه للمشاهد التمعن والفهم، للحظة، كيف ينظر ويفهم جيل الشباب، من بلدات وثقافات مختلفة، الحيّز.

The “Points of view” exhibition is the product of a unique educational program for high school students in four local schools. Within the framework of their study programs, the students discussed the meaning of the term ‘sustainability’ and examined the relationship between human systems and environmental systems. With the help of a camera, the students went out to examine sustainability issues that represent their residential environment and their life style. The photographs displayed in the exhibition are surprising and interesting, and they represent a range of interpretations of the regional approach to sustainability. The range of photographs allows the observer to understand, for a moment, how the young generation, from different communities and different cultures, sees and understands the region.
